Over more than 30 years in publishing, I have edited and managed publications for a wide variety of authors, clients and organisations, across a plethora of formats and subject areas.
During 11 years employed by major international publishing houses, I collaborated closely with prestigious bodies such as the International Bar Association, Bank for International Settlements, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank and European Union, as well as the international judiciary, magic circle law firms and some of the most influential thinkers and academics of the day.
In 2000, I established my own editorial business and continue to work internationally with clients. With a lifelong love of the written word, I’m deeply committed to nurturing good writing, helping authors to achieve successful publication and make your work the very best it can be.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in English and European Literature from the University of Essex. I have received solid training both in-house and at courses by accredited industry providers (Publishing Training Centre, SfEP, Arvon), and am committed to up-to-date, continuous professional development.
I’ve been an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), the UK’s industry professional society, for more than 20 years.
I adhere to its Code of Practice, which ensures ethical operation and editorial excellence.
I’m also a Full Member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES).
My business is professional indemnity insured through PolicyBee.
